FAMILY HOME MINISTRY (FHM) is an opportunity for parents and children to learn about their faith together. Parents are responsible for teaching lessons at home. In addition, parents and children gather in large group gatherings 5 times a year from 6:30-7:30 p.m. usually in the Parish Hall. FHM is available for Grades K-5 only. Middle schoolers are welcome to register for our Middle School faith formation program. Register each child by grade level.
Resources: Each family will receive a tote with their Alive in Christ textbooks and additional resources for home study and prayer. A companion website, Our Sunday Visitor, provides many online resources (lesson plans, games and music) for each chapter.
Parents' role: Parents are asked to work with their children to complete one unit (3 chapters) each month. Families must submit chapter reviews to the Faith Formation Director either electronically, through mail, or in-person at the next family home ministry gathering. Families with more than one child in the program can work together using the family lesson plans.
Calendar 2023-24: Each scheduled monthly gathering will offer two different Thursday evening options for attendance. Each family will CHOOSE ONE of the dates during that month. Since we meet only five times during the year, it is extremely important that families make it a priority to attend and submit the chapter reviews on a regular basis.
Schedule of 2023-24 FHM gatherings, 6:30-7:30 p.m., Parish Hall (pending)

*No Family Home Ministry gatherings in December, January & February.
Important: Students preparing for First Reconciliation and First Eucharist: Registration is required for both Eucharist and Reconciliation Prep classes and either a grade-level Sunday class, Family Home Ministry, or attend a Catholic school.
