2024-25 Faith Formation Syllabus & Schedule Sundays: 9:15-10:15 AM (in-person) Weekly faith formation classes for grades K-4 have ONE session on SUNDAY ONLY. We strongly encourage families to attend the 10:30 Mass together after class. Sunday morning class sizes are limited. Early registration is recommended. Sunday Faith Formation: Classes take place in a traditional classroom setting. Children receive a comprehensive understanding of the Catholic faith, focusing on the life, mission and saving work of Jesus Christ. A team of experienced catechists and aides lead children to a deeper relationship with Jesus. Children with special needs are welcome.
Our Ministry: Our deepest passion is the love for children and passing on our Catholic faith. We are dedicated to the children and the families we serve, their openness to God and their unique diversity. We want each student to develop a deep, knowledgeable, loving and personal relationship with their Savior, Jesus Christ that lasts a lifetime.
Our Curriculum: Our program affirms the role of the parent/ guardian (as well as extended family members) as children’s primary and most important teachers. Our aim is to nurture the formation that is begun in the home by proclaiming God’s Word; incarnated in Jesus Christ, and growing through service to others. We do this through teaching basic beliefs and traditions of our faith based on seven essential doctrinal themes: Revelation; Trinity; Jesus Christ; The Church; Morality; Sacraments; and The Kingdom of God, and by offering catechesis on five themes of Catholic Family Living: God’s Gift of Family; Self; Life; Love; and Community. Most importantly we do this by gathering as a parish family to give praise and thanks to God through liturgical worship by attending Mass. NOTE: Grade 5 is no longer offered on Sunday mornings. For 2024-25, a new PEAK (Prayer, Encounter and Know) Faith Formation Program is offered for Grades 5-8. It includes twice-a-month, in-person group classes with directed family home-study and opportunities for service and prayer.
