Assistant for Youth Ministries and Confirmation, Webmastermchriststignatiushickory.orgMatt has been a parishioner at St. Ignatius since moving to Bel Air at age 7 in 1996; he received his First Communion, First Reconciliation, and Confirmation here. During his time at John Carroll School from 2002 to 2006, Matt volunteered as a Catechist Aide in our Faith Formation program. He went on to Mount St. Mary's University in Emmitsburg, MD and obtained a Bachelor of Science in Psychology, as well as a minor in Youth Ministry; during his time at the Mount, Matt volunteered at St. Ignatius in the summer months and completed an internship with the Confirmation program here during the summer of 2009. He graduated the Mount in 2010 and obtained a Master of Science in Media Psychology from Walden University in August of 2012; meanwhile, Matt joined our Faith Formation program in March of 2012 as "Assistant for Youth Ministries and Confirmation." Matt is heavily involved with the Youth Ministry and Confirmation programs at St. Ignatius, developing flyers and forms for those programs, designing emails for the Faith Formation program, aiding in the planning and implementation of Confirmation retreats, and designing the Faith Formation insert for the weekly bulletin; he is present at most Youth Ministry and Confirmation events; and, Matt also maintains the church website and our Faith Formation email database.
