Fr. Steve brings a wealth of varied experiences to his ministry at St. Ignatius. Having been ordained to the Episcopal priesthood, he met his wife in Charleston, WV. He served at several parishes there and as a Chaplain in the United States Army. Fr. Steve and his family were received into the Catholic Church in 1983. On August 4, 1984, through a special provision of His Holiness Pope John Paul II, Fr. Steve was ordained a Roman Catholic Priest. He is one of about 150 Roman Catholic priests in the United States who had formerly been Episcopal priests. Immediately following his ordination, Fr. Steve was assigned to St. Joseph’s in Fullerton, where he served for 19 years. Fr. Steve is retired from the USAF ANG, where he served as the Wing Chaplain for the 175th Wing. He teaches part-time at The John Carroll School. Fr. Steve’s responsibilities in the parish include marriage preparation, prayer group, and assisting in RCIA and the Faith Formation program. Fr. Steve and his family reside in Bel Air.
